ClimateAi Welcomes Seed Industry Veteran John Nelson to the Advisory Board

ClimateAi is excited to announce the addition of John Nelsen to the company’s advisory board. In this role, he will help set the strategic vision, provide product development insights, and aid in streamlining the go to market strategy for ClimateAi’s fastest growing customer segment: seed companies.

Nelsen brings 45+ years of experience in the agriculture domain. Previously, he spent 15 years at RiceTec where he took the company from 0 products to being one of the top rice seed companies in the world. Nelsen served as the CEO of the organization for 10+ years.

Before RiceTec, Nelsen spent over 25 years with Asgrow Seed where he lead the global oilseed business — the soybean business was #1 in every market in which it was sold.

Outside of his core work, he spent 10 years on the board of the American Seed Trade Association, the largest seed trade association in the world. He also served as a government advisory board member for the Plant Variety Protection Office (PVPO) where he was appointed by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack.
